I appreciate amazing customer service. That’s definitely one of the quickest ways to get me to buy just about anything. As in, “Yes, honey, I know it’s your job. I know this is how it’s supposed to be, but honestly, thank you for being polite and proper.”
I mean, as much as that’s the standard we expect, it blows my mind how hard good customer service is to come by. So when I receive it, I don’t take it for granted.
Back in the day, anytime someone told me, “My God, you don’t look your age!” I’d be flattered. I’d take it as a huge compliment.
Lately, though, it’s starting to get to me. I mean, I get it. I know it’s meant well, but I don’t like it as a compliment anymore.
Can we just limit it to, “Ooh, great, you look good,” and leave it at that? Without the unnecessary drama that follows. “For 29!!”
C’mon!
Okay. Let’s stay guided.
October feels like it’s gone by so fast, but somehow, it also feels like it’s been one long month. The days are flying by, yet so much is happening.
I kept rewatching that video of the building that collapsed in Eastleigh. My mind just went blank.
I kept thinking about the people who were around and managed to escape. There was probably someone who was just about to walk in. Someone who had been thinking of heading there, perhaps to buy something from one of the shops that were operating.
I kept watching the people running away, running for their lives. I couldn’t stop thinking about the fear they must have felt.
The fear. The sound. The trauma.
Such an incredibly sad ordeal.
I don’t know.
Anyway…
I was in a flow state when a friend stopped by for a surprise visit. And just like that, I’ve gotten myself an evening treat I wasn’t expecting.
Some of these tiny, cute things happen, and my heart smiles. I promise.
I’m just so happy right now that I’ve forgotten everything else I wanted to yap about.
I’ll try again tomorrow.
For now, let me bask in my joy and enjoy this tiny, cute, thoughtful treat.
Wishing you a wholesome week ahead, loves.
Cheers. ❤️
